 |
| 1. Firstly, open up the Neon application from the Home screen. |
2. On the first tab, you are presented with a picker with four elements:
backdrop (160), font colour, font, and effect (on font). Note the
second 'Dynamic' tab loads up 20 dynamically-updated backdrops, usually
updated twice a week - both 'Classic' and 'Dynamic' work the same
way. |
3. Choose from the 4 picker elements. Alternatively, press 'Shake
it Up!' for a random backdrop (or shake the iPhone/iPod touch). |
 |
 |
 |
| 4. Now type the text that you wish to overlay on top of the image
(note that this can be blank, i.e. no text). |
5. Press the 'Create Image button. |
6. A dialog box will appear; once dismissed, an activity indicator
will appear to the right of the buttons. |
 |
 |
 |
| 7. Once the preview appears, a 'Save Image' button also appears.
If happy with the preview, press this button to save the image to
your Camera Roll. |
8. A confirmation dialog will appear once the image has saved, with
instructions of how to set the image as your lock screen backdrop.
Note that at this point you can also Email the image directly from
the application to a contact. |
9. To get the image as your lock screen backdrop, exit the application,
go to your Photos/Camera Roll, drill down into the image, then 'Use
As Wallpaper'. |
 |
 |
 |
| 10. The finished article. Note that you can also assign an image
to a contact, thereby having, for example, a neon sign of someone's
name appear when that person calls. |
11. Backdrops without a picture (of varying colours) can be created
if you do not wish to have a picture - select the 'Logo' tab (via
the 'More' tab) instead and follow the same steps as above. Alternatively,
using the 'Picture' tab will allow you to use your OWN pictures! |
12. Help is also available ; go to the 'More' tab followed by the
'? Instructions' section. From here you can get status updates and
messages relating to the application service, as well as general help
on the application. |
